There are more than 60 different enemies, you can choose among 16 characters, choose your favourite one and kick asses out there. You'll go throughout an immense town fighting against people who try to attack you. If you want to keep reminiscing about the history of SEGA, here you have the rest of the games available in the SEGA Forever line. Streets of Rage Remake is a remastered version of the MegaDrive classic. It’s a shame that the game experience is negatively affected by the same mistakes made in most of the SEGA Forever titles, but at least you get to enjoy this excellent game for free, and one of the least frequently seen genres nowadays. The arrival of Streets of Rage 2 is great news for videogame fans. It’s one of the best games from the classic Mega Drive/Sega Genesis, one that also offers the electric sound track from a legend like Yuzo Koshiro. This depends on each users personal preferences, but this title gives you an almost identical experience to when it came out originally, or you can adapt it to present-day standards. If we focus on the visuals, there are also a few extras to point out: additional visual filters and aspect ratio changes. The good things about this release are the other features that this line of retro game brings to the table: the possibility to save your game, go back a few seconds, and the addition of the scoreboard to compete against other players around the world. The touchscreen controls don’t work as well as they should in this type of game so your best option is to use a physical controller. DC can do up to 4 players and both the excellent Streets Of Rage Remake and SoR4 only allow for 2 players maximum. We’ve already talked a thousand times about how the controls in the SEGA Forever games are a bit underwhelming and unfortunately, it’s the case once again. The new characters may not be quite as charismatic, but at least their characteristics transform the game style to make it more varied depending on the chosen character. A sequel that magnifies all the features of the legendary original game, adding more screens, better final bosses, and more characters to play: the burly Max Thunder and Eddie “Skate” Hunter join Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding. We’ve already told you about the best beat ’em ups that exist on mobile devices, but that list wouldn’t be complete without a game like Streets of Rage 2.
